Our Yorkie Puppy Adoption Process 

Bringing home one of our Yorkshire Terrier puppies is a thoughtful and structured process. Our goal is to ensure every puppy goes to a loving, prepared home while giving families the opportunity to follow their puppy’s journey from birth to pickup.

Before beginning the buying process, please read through our puppy parent process carefully and make note of the secret word listed on this page. We will ask for that secret word during our first communication to confirm that you have read and understand the process.

1. Submit an Application

To begin the process of becoming a potential puppy parent, please click the application link below. You will be taken to our application on Good Dog, a trusted platform that helps connect puppy parents with screened breeders. The Good Dog site also offers a secure application and payment system designed to help protect sensitive information and support both breeders and buyers throughout the process.
 

Potential puppy parents applications are reviewed and responded to in the order they are received and you will receive a response within 48 business hours. At that time, I will provide information about the anticipated timeline for upcoming litters.  Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will become a puppy parent.

2. Notification When Puppies Are Born

Once the litter is born, you will receive a text message announcing the arrival of the puppies.

You will have 3 days to respond via text or email confirming you are still interested.

After receiving your response, I will schedule a personal phone call so you know you are working directly with a real breeder and not an online scam.

If I do not hear back within the 3-day window, I will move on to the next application.

3. Two-Week Puppy Visit

When the puppies reach 2 weeks old, families are invited for an in-home visit to meet the litter and parents. 

At this time you may choose to place a deposit, but you are not required to do so during the visit.

If you need time to decide, you have an additional 3 days after the visit to submit your deposit.

Deposits are used to reserve the sex of the puppy (male or female).
At this stage, specific puppies are not selected yet.

4. Puppy Selection (7 Weeks Old)

When the puppies reach 7 weeks old, they have developed their personalities.

Families will return to choose their specific puppy at this time.

This helps ensure the best personality match for your home and lifestyle.

5. Weekly Updates

Families receive weekly photo updates every Sunday so you can watch your puppy grow and develop.

6. Puppy Pickup (10 Weeks Old)

Puppies go home at 10 weeks of age.

The remaining balance is due at pickup.
Your deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.

What You Receive at Pickup:

On the day you bring your puppy home, you will receive a complete puppy care package, including:

 Puppy Binder

  • AKC registration pedigree for both parents

  • DNA testing results for both parents

 Veterinary Care

  • Vet visit summary for your puppy

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations

  • Flea & tick prevention

  • Quad deworming

  • Heartworm prevention

 Puppy Starter Kit

  • Toy

  • 2 pounds of puppy food

  • Mother-scented blanket

  • Puppy sweater
